The Sundance Institute has unveiled its latest cohort of Producers Labs Fellows, a group of 10 talented producers who will receive project-specific support and mentorship during a week-long residency at the Ucross Foundation in Clearmont, Wyoming. This year's selection showcases a diverse range of projects, from feature films to documentaries, each with its own unique vision and storytelling ambition. Among the feature film producers are Jaelyn Ellis with 'Likeness', Kara Grace Miller with 'Make Me a Pizza', Natalie Remplakowski with 'Sweetwater', Marie Alyse Rodriguez with 'How Not to Drown in a Glass of Water', and Sean Weiner with 'The End of All Rivers'. On the documentary side, Chelsea Hernandez with 'The School of Hope', Vero Kompalic with 'Yosi', Hansen Lin with 'God Lives Here', Julia Pontecorvo with 'Unfiltered' (working title), and Cherrelle Swain with 'Southmont Drive' have been chosen. The labs offer a comprehensive support system, including one-on-one meetings and group sessions with experienced producers and industry advisors, to help with pitching, financing, production, and navigating the complex film industry landscape. After the lab, producers engage in a year-long fellowship, further enhancing their skills and industry connections. The feature film lab advisors include industry veterans Allison Rose Carter, Deniese Davis, Eugene Pikulin, Lucas Joaquin, and Peter Saraf, while the documentary lab advisors are Andrea Meditch, Gema Juárez Allen, Rémi Grellety, Darcy McKinnon, and Lance Kramer. The Sundance Institute's commitment to supporting these producers is underscored by its partnership with a network of accomplished producers and industry advisors, who will work closely with the fellows to guide them through the development and release phases of their projects.
